A group of volunteers during a Big Sunday event

With a variety of ways to dig in and get involved, TREE MUSKETEERS is a one-stop shop for anyone interested in giving back to the youth-led environmental movement.  For people looking to occasionally pop in, consider TLC for Trees events held the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, or join our Tree Care Team during the week. Some volunteers keep a regular weekly schedule, while others just participate occasionally in planting or tree care, project work, helping in the office, staffing event booths, and much more.

Youth and Adults are welcome to participate in our volunteer events, we only require youth 10-17  who come on their own to submit a Parental Consent Form. Fill out your form online or Download the Parental Consent Form prior to your first event.

Please note our events are held in or around our hometown of El Segundo, California, adjacent to LAX.

For all questions, contact our Volunteer Manager, Charming Yu at volunteers@treemusketeers.org.

Need to Earn Volunteer Hours?

If you are required to earn volunteer hours for school or court you are in luck! School volunteers can schedule hours at any of our weekly events. Court ordered volunteers must call to see if they qualify and then attend an orientation with our Volunteer Manager before earning their hours.

Adult Opportunities

For adults interested in serving youth in leadership roles consider joining the Adult Partner Team. The Adult Partner Team comprises adults with experience from all backgrounds committed to empowering young people to be the leaders of today. Simply attend an Adult Partner Orientation, see calendar for dates, then jump in the backseat and prepare to navigate.

Adults looking for something different should consider helping at The Habitat, a restoration project on Clutter’s Bluff.  Help remove invasive species and restore native vegetation to the sand dune overlooking LAX. Opportunities are available Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, so visit our calendar for dates and contact Charming to register.

Upcoming Events

We are busy planning for the upcoming planting season and will post event dates soon. In the mean time you can see the full list of volunteer events on our Calendar page.
