California Arbor Day

Tree Musketeers, the City of El Segundo and a lot of friends celebrated the community’s 23rd annual Arbor Day on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Under the leadership of 30 trained youth supervisors, 414 people planted 150 native trees along Washington Street. Not even a sudden downpour dampened the spirits of those who’d come to act locally on the global problem of climate change.


These trees and kids will be registered as part of the Partners for the Planet Campaign to plant three million trees by three million youth worldwide. Click here for a video taste of the event on YouTube.
